Not sure what to say?

Another Doane musician, Tom Kenney, and I were reminiscing about Patti on the DRUM LINE! Just this week.

So sad to hear of Patti's passing. While I was a closer friend with big-sis Kathy at Doane, Patti was still a fun part of our circle. She was a delight.

Mr. and Mrs. George,

I am really sorry for not being aware of Patti's passing last spring. I just read about it in the Doane Magazine, and I'm still feeling a huge pressure on my heart. It was a total honor to know her and to call her my friend.
We first met when I attended the All-State Chorus at Fremont our senior year of high school. I stayed with friends of hers (the twins), so she came along for the ride. We really became fast friends, so we were really glad that we were...

I was saddened to just read of Patti's passing in my Doane Magazine. I too am a Doane alum, but pre-date Patti (she was of my husband's era at Doane). I did however know Patti through our work together at Methodist and Children's Hospital in Omaha. I will concur with everyone's comments on Patti's smile and infectious laugh. She certainly did know how to keep the moments light and brighten anyone's day. We of course, as all Doane alums, shared tales of our time on campus and enjoyed...

I was shocked and saddened today to hear about Patti's death. I worked with her at UNMC as she progressed from being our office manager to becoming a counselor. She was always fun to work with. Spent many a time sitting in her office telling stories and laughing. She was always a great support. She knew everyone and everyone loved her. I moved away from Omaha 8 yrs ago, so wasn't aware of her illness. I'm sure she did wonderfully as a therapist. She will be greatly missed.

Dear Georges,
This is Peggy Peterson and I was a good friend of Patti's at Doane. I remember coming to visit you with John Van Voorhis and George Haskins on the way to Chicago. Patti was such a hoot and we alway had a great time. I always admired her smarts and her independence. I'm sorry I'm so late in writing to you - I was traveling with my father in Sweden when the news about Patti came out. Please rest asssured that Patti was a blessing to all of us who knew her and we will miss her...

Dear Ken, Bonnie and other family and friends of Patti,
I also knew Patti during those dear Doane days when she was a Resident hall Assistant in New Dorm.
She liked her tea, and she was everyone's cup of tea.
Those bib overalls she was fond of had some big pockets, and she would gladly turn her pockets inside out to help you.
I recall Patti running her fingers rapidly through her short-cropped hair, a frequent characteristic gesture often accompanied by let-go laughter....

Dear Bonnie, Ken and Kathy, My most heartfelt sympathy and prayers to you. Patti was a treasured friend since you moved to Fremont when we were in junior high, Confirmation class and then high school together. Her hilarious sense of humor, her red car with the horn that honked every time she turned a corner, marching band and her zest for life will always be happy memories. I'm comforted by knowing that she is cradled in God's arms and free from illness. Very sincerely, Vicki Wehrmann-Sorensen

I met Patti when we both worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. I will never forget her, as she was one of the nicest people I have ever met!! Her sense of humor and genuine concern for others is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of her. I will always treasure her memory. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
