Not sure what to say?

To Monroe and family: May you find comfort in warm memories of the beautiful life that has passed. Being a distant cousin on the Staples side of the family (Monroe's dad and my grandmother were brother and sister), we only had the opportunity to meet and visit with Patti at the Staples Christmas reunion in 2002 but saw what a wonderful and charming person she was and what a beautiful family she has! You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Karen & I were fortunate to be neighbors & friends of Pat & Monroe for many years. We enjoyed every minute and we will miss Pat and her cheery disposition and sense of humor. Karen & her siblings grew up with the children, and were friends and playmates throughout the years. Although Karen & I have been absent as nieghbors physically for the last 15 years, we still hold and value Pat as "our neighbor",as well as Monroe, who was always ready to lend a hand along with his sense of humor. Pat...

Dear Staples Family, (Especially Debbie,Daniel,& Kelly!), this is from your old friend Clifton Allen. I opened-up my newspaper this morning (Feb.23,2005)and as I strolled through the obituary I noticed a picture of a beautiful woman who looked so femilure, then I noticed the name Patti Staples and my heart sank. It has been a very long time since we have been a part of your family, I say this because Patti made me and Kevin feel so much like part of the family. My prayers are with the Staples...

Mamaw,
I love you so much, words can not describe. I miss your voice and your gentle way of making everyone feel so special. Thank you for blessing my life. Thank you for fighting that disease for so long so that Roro could see you and kiss you one more time, everyday. And, thank you for letting go when the good Lord was calling you home. I love you sweet Mamaw. You will be missed all the days of my life.
With all my love and admiration.
Your Granddaughter,
...

Mrs. Staples was like having a second mom; she always found the good in people...her love for her husband, children and family members was so wonderful to see and be a part of. I will miss her as we all will; but we do know now she is in the better place than we are at. May God bless all the Staples Family during these next few days and weeks to come. Mrs Staples has shown us all she could about love and good...we will all have to make the rest of the way from here.

I was not fortunate enough to to know Mrs. Staples personally but I know "Jimmy" and through him I can tell she was a wonderfull person.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Staples family at the loss of such wonderful lady. May you find peace and comfort in the loving memories you hold in your hearts.

Our deepest sympathies,

Tracy, I am so sorry about your mother, I know what you are going through and will be lifting you and your family up in prayer. "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." Ps91:4.
