Fourteen years and I still miss you more than I could ever tell you . . . but you were always smart enough to understand, even when I couldn't find the right words. Love you, Patty.

I was Patty's camp counselor in March 2001 at Bluebonnet Retreat. I enjoyed the time we got to spend together. I just came across camp pictures this morning. I then found out today that Patty had passed away. I am richer with knowing her. We had a great time at camp. She was a "gem".

I met Patty at Cancer Camp in March of 2001 and she made quite an impression on me. She had such a great sense of humor and her spirit and zest for life were inspiring. She was a fighter.

I always remember Patty for her smile and the way she never tried to intimidate anyone with her intelligence (although I'm sure she knew she was smarter than the rest of us!).

Patty was one of the persons that I admired and respected most in high school and a role model for many of us who graduated right after her. Not only was she brilliant but she was also incredibly gracious.
