A ceremony celebrating the life of Mrs. Patty D. Granger will be held at 12 noon on Saturday at the chapel of Seale Funeral Home Central; visitation will begin at 9 am until time of the service; graveside service will follow at Second Baptist Church Cemetery Jackson, LA. Patty was born in Independence, LA on March 4, 1966 to the union of Jimmie and Nellie Jean McNabb Dees and departed from this life on Monday April 21, 2014 at Lane Regional Medical Center at the age of 48 years. She was a salesclerk, attended Guiding Light Pentecostal Church; enjoyed fishing and loved her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her sons Michael Allen and Ronald Lee Sharp; her parents and a grandmother Ophelia Shuff. She is survived by her loving husband Lewis Granger; sisters Angel Blackard (Ronnie) and Sylvia Andrews (Edward); brother Jimmie Dees Jr (Denise); best friend Brenda Sagely; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and 8 canine companions.

Sylvia, Jimmie, Angel and Lewis, I want to give to each of you my deepest sympathy. I was saddened to hear of Patty's passing. I've known all you sisters and brother almost all your lives. I've watched you grow up to become the wonderful adults you are. May God be with each of you during this time and comfort you in the time to come. God bless all of you.
