Beloved son of Arthur and Kathleen Toomey, brother of Peter Toomey (deceased).
Paul was a member of the Armed Services 1966-1968 serving in Panama teaching jungle survival during the time of the Viet Nam War. He was a Bay Ridge bartender for many years and remembered by so many patrons of Kelly’s Tavern, Scarlets, Pipin’s Pub, Tail O’ the Fox and others. He was a man’s man, always quick with a whimsical story, the wittiest of retorts and was considered among all to be one of the “nicest guys” you could ever meet. He also possessed almost total recall as displayed by his uncanny remembrance of all things Bay Ridge.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

My sincere condolences to all of Paul's family and friends. My friendship began with Paul in 1952. I would say he was one of my of my first and dearest friends. May he rest in peace.
