Paul Augustus ADAMS

Paul and my mother, Bernadine Thompson Houghton, were the last two surviving members of their Atlanta High School graduation class of 1934. The two played music together as young people. As my interest in family genealogy and Atlanta history grew, Paul was a great resource. His digitizing of the Atlanta Argus was especially valuable. His wife, Marian, was also a friend and fellow DAR member. Paul will be long remembered with fondness.

Paul was a good friend and classmate of my mother, Bernadine Thompson Houghton. Before she passed away in 2011, she and Paul were the last survivors of the Atlanta High School Class of 1934. He was a great leader keeping records of graduates. His genealogical and historical work will be long remembered.
Marian, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

My sympathy to you Marian and your family. Paul was one fine man and such an asset to Atlanta. He lived a good life.
