Dear Family of Coach Paul Adams,

My sympathy to the family of Coach Paul Adams. Over the many years of competing against Deerfield, I always found Paul to be a great coach, a good friend, a wonderful leader and "Mr. November" for his remarkable successes. No other coach in the Chicago suburbs did it better. He was the best!

It has been asked through the ages, What is the measure of a man? Well to me the answer is simple. It would have to be the number of lives that a man has touched during his lifetime and Paul Adams touched the lives of many a young man! I was one of those young men! My dream as a boy was to play football for Paul Adams and be a Deerfield Warrior! Simple as that! And I did! Started all four years! Our teams had tremendous success from my Freshman to my Senior year! The reason was simple: Paul...

We are very sorry to hear of Coach Adam's passing. He used to lead the pep rallies at
DHS, "Red and Gray, all the way!" He also taught us how to drive our little red Valiant in the parking lot of HPHS. We liked his technique of driving with two feet. He seemed to really enjoy working with kids. That was refreshing. Our condolences to his dear family and friends.

I think he knew every student by name. It did not matter if they were an athlete or not.

Back in the good old days, I remember our families got together when I was growing up. Uncle Paul was always funny, caring, and sweet. I remember Uncle Paul quite fondly; he was always great to me and my family and will truly be missed. I am saying prayers and hugs to the Adams' Family. Xoxo Christine Rodbro Moyers

Affectionately known to his teammates and friends, one of Paul's nicknames was "beak". Paul and I played Shore Line baseball together in the 1960;s. Along with Jake Nagode, John Koziol. Bob Johnson, Phil Ruffalo, Bobby Graham , Gus Koulentis, and others. My condolences to Paul's family. May he rest in Peace.. Ed Blachaniec
