Not sure what to say?

Inge,

I first met Pete in the Redding hospitals where all of us in clinical work rapidly came to recognize him as an outstanding radiologist of university faculty caliber. He helped us solve many difficult diagnostic dilemmas over the years resulting in many lives saved and muvh suffering avoided.

Later, as a friend, I valued his constant state of gregarious cheer, expressed in his rich Deep South drawl, his love of travel and adventure (he did more in his life than most people...

Pete was one of the first docs to welcome me to Redding when I arrived in 1987. Since we were both Baylor College of Medicine graduates, we exchanged tales of Dr. DeBakey and other notable Baylor professors. Pete resonated a southern charm, and always made me laugh. He was a fine physician, but an even finer person. I will miss him.

Inge,

We are so sorry to hear about Pete and will cherish our memories of Pete and you in China. All our best to you.

I had the great honor of working with Pete at Mercy Medical Center for many years. He was an outstanding Radiologist and an equally outstanding person. His knowledge, clinical acumen, sense of humor and historical perspective are greatly missed. My deepest sympathy is extended to his family and friends.

Dear Inge,
I just learned of Pete's passing, and I am so sorry. You have been a shining example to us all, as to what a marriage should stand for, and what a wife should be. I have admired you seen I first met you, but after witnessing your strength over the last few years you have all but inspired me to be even a stronger woman. My prayer for you is that you find the happiness you so richly deserve in the days ahead. Inge, you are in my thoughts and prayers, and if there is ANYTHING I...

Dear Inge,

Our hearts & prayers are with you. What a terrific supporter you were for Pete, whose chuckle I will always remember. I can never forget the grudge tennis matches at the KA reunions & his getting me tongue tied by trying to get me to speak to him in German.

Pete Auston was my college roommate, fraternity brother and long time friend. I have many happy memories of the times we had together at Vanderbilt and in later years as we visited and went on reunions and trips together. Sharon and I shall miss him very much. Our love and prayers are with Inge and the families. We are there in spirit.
