Paul Vernon Ayres, 51, of Knoxville, went to be with his Lord and Savior after a long battle with Kidney disease. He was a devoted husband, loving father and served faithfully as a Deacon for many years at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Paul was preceded by parents, Jerry and Linda; 2 brothers, Chris and Jerry Lynn. He is survived by loving wife of 30 years, Donna Ayres; 3 devoted children, Adam (Kirstie) Ayres, Ashlie (Heath) Depew and Lynsie Ayres; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Stacey Ayres; close niece, Tayler (Aaron) Wyckoff; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dan and Linda Osborne; sister and brother-in-law, Linda (Dwayne) Daniels and several other special family and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home. Service will follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Wayne Trent and Rev. Archie Elliott officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday, July 20, 2018 around 10:45am for an 11:00am graveside service at Thorngrove Cemetery.
