Not sure what to say?

Dr. Bailey was an outstanding professor and educator. He truly made learning enjoyable. His depth of knowledge was amazing - even more so, his ability to share and make the information understandable to all. He was a caring and gentle man. I would have gladly taken any course Dr. Bailey taught! My deepest sympathies to his family in this great loss.

During this time of mourning, I would like to express my sincere condolence at the loss of your loved one. May you find comfort in persistent prayers, as “the peace of God that excels all thought will guard your heart and your mental powers.” [Phil. 4:7] I certainly hope that the help God can give at this time will make a difference.

Dr. Bailey taught my very first college class. Imagine my surprise when he walked in and said "Hi, I'm Paul C. Bailey" because sitting in my lap was my brand new textbook written by Paul C. Bailey! He had a gentle good humor and amazed us by always lecturing without notes. He made biology fascinating, so I changed my major from accounting to biology.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers and has my deepest sympathy during your time of loss.

Dr. Bailey was one of the most influential professors I had in the pre-med program at Birmingham-Southern. He was a wonderful teacher, and his classes helped prepare me for med school. My deepest sympathies to you, his family and friends. He was a great man.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Dr. Bailey was the author of my Biology textbook at Birmingham-Southern College. Although I was not privileged to be in a class which he was Professor of, we crossed paths on campus and in the Science building many times. He was always a gentleman... and respectful, which I truly appreciate to this day. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family and friends. The world would be a different place if all were like Dr. Bailey.
Sincerely,
Sarah Miles Smith
