I corresponded with this gentleman several years ago in regards to the Baldy surname and his family history. I found him to be a warm and open man. I am sorry for his family's loss.

To the family/friends of Paul Baldy,
I regret that I did not have the pleasure of knowing him. I would liked to have thanked him and the many others for their efforts.
My wife and I are enjoying the fruits of his labors living in Kinmen (formerly known as Quemoy), Taiwan teaching English. It is a wonderful 'free' land, within site of the 'not so free' China, less than two miles away.
The people of Kinmen are a very special people that have not forgotten the Americans...
