Not sure what to say?

Dr. Barber was the most sincere person I ever met. From my Grandmother to my Mother then myself and my daughter he cared for all of us like we were family. My special memory of Dr. Barber was when I was going through a hard time and found myself in the psychiatric ward. He surprised me and visited with me for some time. He helped me overcome some of my mental health issues, and that is something I will always keep with me. Thank You Dr. Barber for being there for me, my family, and all the...

In loving memory of a wonderful person and my very favorite doctor. My family will love you and miss you always. There will never be another doc you could call and be seen immediately. There will never be another doc that cared and always reassured me of any of my health concerns. He put everything in perspective. RIP with our Heavenly Father.

Dr. Barber, while you share your stories in Heaven, please ask Mary OUR Mother, to send Blessings to all your loved ones, and please send some to my grandchildren, you are the closest to GOD, and I know you are there, you were always THE BEST, with all the kind deeds you did during your lifetime here on this earth. So many people remember you and the 'loving heart' you always showed. Rest in Peace, and Enjoy the Heavenly Party. Think of you often, and truly do miss you, Prayers and Love

Dr. Barber was very special to our family. He truly cared about his patients from babies to the elderly. There's a big gap in our lives since the passing of our dear Dr. Barber. My Aunt "Pete" was an RN at Kent and was in the delivery room when 3 of my children were delivered. We all miss you Dr. Barber and it's just not the same without you! We miss you too Barbara. God bless you and watch over you as you are missing Paul.

hope this helps to know 'who' I am

I have such wonderful memories of Dr. Paul Barber, he would make a home visit to Earl and be so caring, I walked in on the wedding at Walt's Roast Beef one day and he said: I am the Ring Bearer, stay and celebrate with us. I can only hope and pray that many have learned from him. May God give him Rest in Peace. Amen. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Dr. Barber was our family doctor from the time I was 5 years old. He remained my doctor for 55 years and delivered 3 of my children. He loved the little ones which was evidenced by his compassion towards my children when he gave them their childhood immunizations. As soon as he gave them the injections, he would hold them and comfort them until they stopped crying. He had quite a sense of humor as well. My husband and I retired to Florida and we certainly are enjoying the Florida sunshine....

DR. BARBER certainly was an iconic figure in the Pawtuxet Valley and we are all so sorry to learn of his passing during the reflective time of Lent.

Obviously his professional and personable characteristics touched the lives of so many whether in familial corners, medical circles, military service and community relations.

I know hearing wonderful stories from older family members on their relationships with Dr. Barber (like a couple of his classmates, my late Uncles...

I attended St. John and James mass tonight at 5 p.m. only to hear about the passing of a great Doctor, friend, mentor, and so much more, he would make home visits to Earl and that was above and beyond his call of duty, he would always teach me something new, while I worked as secretary at Kent Hospital, he always 'made the time' to spend with all he knew, he will be so honored and respected for all he's done in this Town of ours, which he was a great part of for his entire life, so sorry I...
