To the Barco Family -- It was with much sorrow to learn of your family's loss last month. However, we feel quite fortunate to have had the privilege of knowing and working with Paul over the past decade. He proved himself a true champion of the individual and of human rights, and had an uncanny ability to deal with highly challenging situations with dignity, grace and honor. Undoubtedly, his presence will be missed by many and the community. God Bless.

Paul and Family, Sorry to hear of your fathers death. He was an inspiration to me and I shall always value his advice and wisdom. He was the Mayor of 22nd Street.

We have lost a giant, with a repository of knowledge, who sought justice and liberty for all. He shared his knowledge so that others may know the lived experiences of African peoples in St. Petersburg. I benefited from his guidance and knowledge. I mourn Mr. Barco leaving us. We will honor your legacy with our work towards justice. Thank you.
