Not sure what to say?

It has been 7 years and nearly 3 months since my last message. To serve with you as my leader was an honor. If only I could hear you make fun of my southern accent or brag about beating me on the APFT (by the way I did more p/u and s/u only for you to blast me on the run!). You always connected with us. You are missed.

Paul..you were my 1st Lt. We performed PT together every morning at Ft Polk. You connected with us. You were and ARE a positive influence on me. I miss you. I miss your leadership. I am now a Law enforcement Lieutenant and I lead by the example you instilled in me. I have learned from you. I carry you daily.
I love you

We will not forget. May...
