Kathy and Paul and all of your families....so sad to hear about Mr Paul. What an awesome man and knowing him was a true honor. I am so grateful I had the pleasure of knowing him and that he will live on in each of you, especially YOU, Kathy and Paul. What a true angel God received. May you feel some comfort and strength through all your cherished memories and also knowing you have friends that deeply care. Much love, David and Diane (Crumbley) Wallace

My NOLA brother, Chris, informed me of Mr. Becnel's passing and I immediately saw myself in his chair at his shop as was the case for my 3 brothers and their sons. He always had a smile and a gentle hand when he brushed the hair off my neck with a little powder as lagniappe. He was a Algiers institution which will be missed by all who knew him. At one time I considered being a barber because of him; it would have been an honor.
Condolences to his family and especially Paul Jr.

Sending our deepest condolences to the Becnel Family. Our daughter, Ann is married to Mike. It has been our pleasure all these years knowing she has had such a wonderful set of grandparents. She has always been considered one of their own! He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

So sorry to hear. The Becnels lived right around the corner growing up, and we Daigle kids played with Paul Jr. and Kathy. So many good memories. Mr. Becnel was so kind. Never forget back at the old Tulane stadium when some youngster thought he could push him around, and quickly found out he was a good boxer when young and could still throw a good punch!
