Not sure what to say?

Father Begley, while a priest at St. Mary's in Bellevue, was instrumental in sponsoring our family from Vietnam to the US in 1975. Despite the culture and language differences, Fr. Begley and everyone at St. Mary's welcomed all 11 of us with loving, open arms as we started a new life in our adopted homeland. It requires love and compassion to take such leap of faith. Thank you God for sending Fr. Begley into our lives. I know God has a special place in heaven for you.

Fr. Begley was a true friend and supporter of all of us who were lucky enough to be a member of his faculty at Assumption. Even though it has been over 25 years since I have taught there, I still remember my training under Father Begley as one of the best experiences in my life. Father Paul would send me congrats throughout successes in my coaching career and would always be there when I needed him. The Church has to say goodbye to a good and faithful servant.

What a blessing Fr. Begley was to all who knew him. He represented Jesus so well, welcoming the children(and adults) of Assumption parish so warmly and guiding us strongly in the Faith. He was so quick to laugh and to bring laughter to us. Fr. Begley, along with Msgr. Fischer, not only helped to shape my faith but also to understand what priests are really meant to be- servants of God and of the Community in which He places them. I am confident that he is in heaven reaping the rewards of...

Father Begley was a transformative figure in my life. As an altar boy at St Mary's of Bellevue, I served hundreds of masses for him. He taught me countless lessons in religion class. Lessons that would serve me well during four years at the Air Force Academy and almost a 23 year Air Force career that would take me around the globe. I always enjoyed visiting with him when home on leave. I will miss his wit, humor, and wisdom.

fr. begley touched my whole family. his love for sports encouraged my brother vince and i to really be the best athletes we could but also made us a better people. he was a great man and was loved by many

Father Begley has blessed so many in his life. He had followed Gods plan for him. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
Rest in Peace....

These many notes are a testiment to Fr Paul's life and spirit. I was at St Patrick's when he was there and he came back to that church to officiate at our wedding. We moved away to LA and to Japan in the AF, but never lost touch. When we returned to Omaha he attended our youngest daughter's 1st Communion Celebration and many years later co-officiated at our oldest daughter's wedding. When my mother died 2 years ago, Fr. Paul was there again for us to officiate at her funeral at St...

Father B. was an excellent teacher of history at Emerson Sacred Heart H.S and one of the best teachers I ever had. He was a blessing to our parish in Wayne and certainly has left this world a better place because he was here

Our hearts go out to the Begley Family at the loss of Fr.B. While in Wayne he taught me at Emerson Sacred Heart High School. We keep in touch all these 40 years and I will miss him. God rest his soul.
