Not sure what to say?

I remember Dr. Bender from when I was very young, about 4 years old, and how he helped me through a very bad sickness and cared for me for many years as I grew to an adult. He was always my "favorite" doctor. His concern and care were genuine and he always made me feel better. Thank God for such a dedicated and caring person who shared his talents and kindness with so many. May you rest in the light of God's kingdom always.

There was a father who was dealing with a dying son. His son looked to him and asked the the question he dreaded. "Dad I know I'm dying but what is it like to die?" The father thought for a moment and replied: "Do you remember when you fell asleep on the sofa and woke up the next day safely tucked in your bed? Well, how did you get there? When you fell asleep your heavenly Father came and carried you in His arms and safely tucked you into bed. When you woke up you found yourself in a place...

We will miss you, but will always have fond memories of you.

I enjoyed being with Dr. Bender on the few occsions that we met, distance being the barrier to more frequent meetings. I fondly remember him as a very erudite and knowledgeable person. I wonder how, with the demands of a busy medical practice, he
found the time to gain this additional knowledge. It was pleasure to be with him, something that money could not buy. It is a great loss to the family and I will pray that the good Lord will help you in your travail. May God accept him in his...

To Paul, Christine & the Bender family,

I know this is a difficult time for all of you. But don't forget to smile and laugh, and think of all the joy, pleasure and humour your father brought to all of you throughout his long, full and zestful life. Take comfort in knowing that his values, his life lessons, and his warmth and compassion for others, particularly his for family, friends and patients, will live on through you. One of the best ways to honour his memory and keep him in your...

The Spirit of Love, Light and Peace subsides all fences.

“The unconditional fence”

Where fences are limits, Dr. Bender made them a place of joy, happiness and gladness. He broke the barrier of division with his kindness and concern and brought the word neighbor to a higher standard. This simple partition became a meeting place to celebrate the beauty of the day and that of the seasons, a place of reassurances after hurricanes, blizzards, tornados and earthquake. This fence became the hand that held a ‘life-line' of electrical wires for the...

Doc was a wonderful neighbor and he will be missed. I always loved seeing him walk around the yard with drink in hand as he surveyed his beautiful flowers. Vince and I send our condolescences to the family.
