Rest in Peace old friend. Paul was a passionate advocate for military veterans and retirees and was one of the founding Fathers of the Military Retiree Councils of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont that supported military retirees in the region. Until the last day I saw him at my own Military Retirement in 2012 Paul was never able to express his own wartime experience with mournful tears. I met Paul Blacketor years ago at a restaurant and we would occasionally run into one another there and have lunch. He was such a pleasant and interesting person, and I can only hope to someday make even a fraction of the impact that he did.
