BONKOSKI, Paul Jr. – Of Grand Blanc, age 90, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.



 



Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 North Adelaide Street, Fenton, Father Jim Rolph officiating.



 



Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.



 



Those desiring may make contributions to Wreaths Across America.



 



Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.



A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.



 



Mr. Bonkoski will be at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the Mass.



 



Paul was born in Muse, Pennsylvania on May 30, 1926, son of the late Paul Sr. and Rosy (Walicka) Bonkoski.



 



He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.



 



On September 6, 1947 he married Rebecca M. DeBlois.



 



He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.



 



Mr. Bonkoski retired from GM after 30 years of service.



 



Surviving are wife, Rebecca Marie;



 



children, Pauline (Gary) Nelson,



Janet (Larry) Vollmer,



Mark (Sharyn) Bonkoski,



Jeff (Tiffany) Bonkoski and



Mary (Richard) Becker;



 



many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
