Paul Thomas Braman, 44, of Flint Township, our beloved father, husband, brother, son and friend, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2006.
Paul was born in Midland, on Dec. 4, 1961, the son of Frederick and Barbara (Bailey) Braman. He was a resident of Flint for 6 1/2 years. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He married LaLita Threet on Nov. 12, 1996. Paul graduated from Midland High School in 1980 and attended Western Michigan on a football scholarship, graduating with his bachelor's degree in 1985. Paul went on to own his own business in Flint, but his greatest joy in life came from his family. He adored his wife and two daughters, whom he spent all of his free time with.
Surviving are his wife, LaLita; two children, Lyndsey and Laynie; three brothers, Fred (Kirsten) Braman of New Jersey, Mark (Jennie) Braman of Colorado and Dave Braman of Kalamazoo; two sisters, Mary Kay (Jim) Manwill of Oregon, and Lisa (Louis) Vastardis of Virginia; 15 nieces and nephews that Paul loved dearly; mother and father-in-law, Ann and Richard Snyder of Flushing; two brothers-in-law, Billie Threet Jr. of Flint, and Jeff (Pam) Threet of Burton; father-in-law, Billie Threet Sr. (Debbie) of Clio. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ann Braman.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road in Burton, Father Paul Cummings officiating, with burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
Visitation will be held today from 5 to 8 and 12 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2006, at the funeral home. Paul will be at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the Mass.
