Hi Paul,
just thought I'd drop you a note. I hope this isn't too odd. We are busy planning to honor you at the St. patrick's Day Dash. Miss you a lot and would rather you do it with us, but will do it in your honor and you can watch us and make sure we have a great time. Miss youl. Joan

Dear Paul,
Thanks for your great generosity and support in getting me and many people to walking and running half and full marathons! Thanks for your friendship and kindness, great laughter and lots of talking! My great sympathies go to Angela, Tara and your family and the rest of us who miss you every day. I think of you often and you are part of Seattle Walk Run, helping us to get going again. You are a truly amazing man. So sorry. Love to all from your friend, Joan

Paul was so welcoming when I first joined Seattle Walk Run. I loved it when he was able to walk with us. His guiding spirit and commitment lives on in those he trained and supported. He will be missed on a day to day basis but he will be around us in spirit for every step we take.

My friend Paul Brock,
I met Paul in 2004 when we were both walkers newly joining the Seattle Fit group. Little did I know at that time about how to approach a half or full marathon, yet alone what it takes for running/walking clubs function on a weekly or seasonal basis. Little did I know then that we would become very good friends.
In 2006 the group would have vanished if not for the efforts Paul put in. Since then we changed from having Home Base in a Fred Meyer parking (rain...

Paul,
Such a short time since we met last Spring with Seattle Walk Run. Like so many others, our lives have been changed by joining Seattle Walk Run. You graciously welcomed me to the group mid-season in March and my husband Rick a little later. When I proposed having Team DAWN train along with SWR, you called from your hospital bed to welcome our team to SWR! And, later in the next season endorsed our support of DAWN to all of Seattle Walk Run. Thank you for all of the lives you've...

I so clearly remember Paul handing my Seattle Walk Run shirt last year. He was always the first to ask if I had a great run. I completed my first Marathon in 2011 because of the Seattle Walk Run club. What a blessing to have known Paul. I will truly miss his presence and positive attitude.

Paul was an inspiring, enthusiastic and truly kind soul. While I did not know Paul well, his enthusiasm for the sport of running/walking kept me showing up week after week at SWR - - even on cold, wet, blustery Saturday mornings, when I could have remained home in a warm bed. Good-bye Paul. I, among many others, will miss your support, guidance and conviction that a person can do anything they put their mind to. (I ran my first 1/2 marathon at age 50 thanks to SWR.) Bless you and your...
