I would not have graduated from the University of Arizona, if Dr. Carter had not taken an interest in me as a struggling student, and worked with me to improve my academic skills. Then, I developed a love for history and knowledge. Thanks to Dr. Carter.

Mom and I read Paul's books together. In the months before she passed away in 2011, while she was bed-ridden, we read his book on science fiction magazines. She was keenly interested in it. She enjoyed corresponding with him by phone and letter. I will never forget how he brightened her life in those final months.

My Sincerest Condolences. I have many great memories of Paul and had many interesting conversations with him where he would answer my silly questions about history. I grew up in the same neighborhood with the family and knew his oldest son quite well. I wish I had stayed in touch. Again I send my prayers and thoughts to his whole family.

Churchill, 1921: "Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb."
