Paul Clark Obituary

Paul Clark, 86, of Hampton, VA passed away peacefully on Monday, December 21, 2020. Born in Avery County, NC, he was the son of Norman and Carmie Clark. Paul worked as a control room operator for Dominion Power and retired after 37 years.

Paul was a devoted family man. He had a tremendous love for music, especially Bluegrass and Gospel. He spent his life collecting and sharing as much of this music as he could. He was a member and officer of the Tidewater Bluegrass Music Association for many years. Paul was a man that made friends everywhere he went, even to the end. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.

He is preceded in death by: his father, Norman Clark; mother, Carmie Clark; wife, Dottie Clark; and brother, Ed Clark.

Left to cherish his memory are: his son, Scott Dunn; 4 daughters, Sharon Galanakos (Koulis), Melissa Jarivs (Bucky), Jennifer Crabtree, and Carolyn Dunn Lopez; 6 grandchildren, Voula Galanakos, Paula Dotterweich, Rhett McWright, Kaitlyn McWright, Haley Crabtree, and Josh Crabtree; 9 great-grandchildren; he also leaves behind two special women in his life, Hallie Whitecotton and Jean Clark and a host of family members and close friends who he loved dearly.

There will be a private service at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with burial at Parklawn cemetery. The family will have a small get together at the home of Bucky and Melissa Jarvis starting at 3pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 for those that would like to pay their respects.
