Paul Colson Obituary
NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Paul Colson, Sr., age 63, at 10:00 am Friday, November 16, 2018 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Weido of Temple Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Beau Pre Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Colson passed away at 4:27 am on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at Iberia Medical Center.
Mr. Colson was an Information Technology specialist for many years. He enjoyed working on and with computers for work and pleasure. He was always willing to help family and friends with their computers at no charge. He also could be found tinkering in his garage.
He will be missed dearly by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rhonda Wellman Colson; one daughter, Amie Lynn Colson and fiancé Ronald Pardee, Jr.; two sons, Paul Colson, Jr. and wife Sarah Barrilleaux Colson and Brandon Scott Colson; five grandchildren, Damian Ray Demarcy, Jr., Disney Lin Pardee; Alex Isaac Demarcy, Gabrielle Sandy Colson and Ashleigh Grace Colson all of New Iberia; two sisters, Theresa Colson Gros of New Iberia and Shirley Colson of Youngsville and three brothers James Colson of Coteau Holmes, David Colson and Jessie Colson both of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon James and Edise Romero Colson; two sisters, Verna Colson and Marie Maturin and two brothers, Leroy Colson and John Colson.
Pallbearers will be Paul Colson, Jr., Brandon Colson, Damian Ray Demarcy, Jr. and Ronald Pardee, Jr.
