James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home Obituary

Paul D. Crowley, age 69, passed away peacefully in the Seasons Hospice Center in Milton, Massachusetts on Sunday, November 6, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 20, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Esther C. (Lane) Crowley. He was raised in Dedham and attended Dedham High School, where he played both hockey and baseball. After his graduation in 1965, Paul went on to attend the Wentworth Institute of Technology, earning a certificate in plumbing. Shortly after completing his studies, Paul earned a position with Kerivan Lane Plumbing and Heating. Paul married his wife, Elaine A. Tolias, on May 26, 1973 and together they made their home in Norwood. After about three years, the young couple settled in Norfolk to raise their family. As Paul's family began to grow with the welcoming of children, he decided to start his own company, P.D. Crowley Plumbing and Heating, which he successfully operated for 35 years. Once he began thinking about retirement, Paul sold his company to Kerivan Lane and even though he was officially retired, he maintained a consulting position with them at their Needham office. Paul had a passion for classic cars and owned three Corvettes over the years. He enjoyed caring for his yard and loved spending time in Aruba with Elaine. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family around his pool, usually with a Miller Lite in his hand. Beloved husband of Elaine A. (Tolias) Crowley. Loving father of Paul R. Crowley and his wife Jennifer of Edina, Minnesota, Jennifer A. Devine and her husband Jerry of Canton, and Rhianne E. Berardi and her husband Robert of Canton. Cherished grandfather of Piper, Milly, Darcy, Jayce, Annie, Luke, and Joia. Devoted brother of Robert F. Crowley and John L. Crowley both of Dedham. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Paul's Life Celebration on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 4-8 PM and Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 9-9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Jude's Church, 86 Main Street, Norfolk on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Norfolk Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

Not sure what to say?

Dear Elaine and Family, We are so sorry for your loss. Paul was a good man and I am grateful to be his cousin. My family and I have you in our thoughts and prayers. He will be missed. Bill Lane and family

Dear Elaine, very sorry to hear of Paul's passing.I didn't realize that when we occasionally worked together in Foxboro that you were married to Paul. We were in the same class at Dedham High. I didn't know him really well but remember that he was a nice person (and good-looking).My condolences to you,Elaine, and your family.

Dear Elaine and kids--

As Paul's neighbor for many years, we shared many conversations over the fence "with no gate". Your kids friendship with mine made you like a second family. His love for life and his sense of humor will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers to all.

Dear Elaine and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I have know Paul since I was young growing up in Needham. Paul was always our family plumber. He was caring and so loved by my parents and when they were in their 90's Paul would always watch out for my Dad as he was still driving in Needham. You and your family are in my prayers. I am so sorry about Paul's passing. The great family that he raised, is a testament to the kind of person that Paul was. He reminded me so much of my father, who was a wise, caring, and kind man ,who loved Miller Lite.
The whole family will be in my prayers.

Sincerely,
Larry Ruppert

Elaine and the entire Crowley Family. This is so sad to see; it really hurts in so many ways.I've known Paul for over 60 years as a neighbor and friend.Growing up,I was either at the Crowley house or Paul.John and Bobby were at my house. We played sports together, hung around together and shared so many happy/fun times together.I know how much Paul respected and loved Elaine and his children. He was so proud of each and everyone of you.As so many others will say, my thoughts and prayers are with...

Elaine and family so very sorry. May memories of Paul warm your heart as they do mine.

Dearest Elaine and Family, Please know that I express my deepest sympathy and friendship to you and your family. You're in my thoughts and prayers as you move forward in this life.
