We lost our dear Paul on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, after more than four years of a courageous fight with ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease. His family and many friends will miss him very much. Paul was a gracious, strong, and goal-oriented individual. His stark white hair, beautiful blue eyes, and beaming...

Not sure what to say?

Did not know Paul. But remember his sisters well from Culver Summer Schools. Especially Linda Dean whose correspondence during the 70's kept me sane! If you were like them, the world will truly miss you.

Lester, Lori, Linda, Melanie and Myrna, you have my deepest sympathies. Although I had contact with Paul on and off throughout his life, my best experiences were playing together as kids. I have never known a better billiards player. Such concentration and skill at that young age surely helped him become the person he was. And a zest for the fun times was something you could always count on from him. I will miss you Paul, but you will live on in my memories forever.

Dean Family,
So sorry for your loss. Paul was truly a wonderful man and one I got to know as a math student of his at the University of Saint Mary. I was one of those students who went back to college to get my degree when I was 48 years old. Up until that time my highest math grade was a D. I just knew I could never do the math to obtain my degree. That was until I met Professor Dean. He told me from day one that failure was not an option and he would be there every step of the way....

Paul was a wondeful and great man. Will miss him incredibly a lot. Such a joy to have got to know him...

You were a great man Paul! Thank you so much for the time we spent with you and those two weekends at the lakehouse!! We will never forget you and your kindness and hospitality! Love you!

So very sorry for the loss of Paul. The times we were around him at the lake were so much fun.

Although I never met Paul, my Niece Miranda Oley attended walks for awareness of ALS along side of her boyfriend Asher Dean, I offer my condolences to all his wonderful supportive family and friends, I know how difficult this is, and as I always say, no time limit for grieving. God bless.

Dean Family,
We're so sorry for your loss! Paul was such a great and caring man and we always looked forward to lake time with him and his kids. We will never stop fighting for a cure from ALS!

Keena and family,
I am so sorry for your the loss. I know he put on a courageous fight against ALS. I will keep you and your family in my prayers over this Holiday season.
At times like this I like to recall the Irish Blessing "May God hold him the palm of his hand until you meet again.."
