Not sure what to say?

It's already been a year since your passing time goes by so unbelievably fast. I have a memorial for you at my camp created from the porch you built-it's only fitting.

Thinking about all the good times we had!

I found out about Mark's passing just a few minutes ago. I am very sad. I grew up with him. Our parent's were great friends and we spent a lot of time together growing up. I will always remember the yearly Ames/Devine Thanksgiving get together! Epic times. I haven't seen Mark in 23 years, but I will never forget the brother who was exactly 10 days younger than me. Much love and comfort to the family left behind.

I worked with Mark for several years at Singapore American School where we were both industrial arts teachers. I enjoyed discussing problems, work and kids with Mark and always liked the fact he was straight forward and genuine. He touched a lot of lives and made a positive impact on many young people. It's sad to see him leave us so early when he had so much to offer. My condolences to his family and friends through out the world.Ken Clarke

I'm so sad to hear of Mark's passing. I loved working with him at SAS. What a loss to education. My condolences to his family.

Mark was a great guy! I enjoyed sharing a SAS interim excursion to Bhutan with him. Mark was always ready to share and give to others. We have good memories of teaching together, sharing fun conversations at BBQ's, and discuss building/construction plans. Mark loved his family and was so proud of his three sons. Sincere sympathy thoughts and prayers for the family.

I remember a a kind and funny father to a wee little Nicolas when I lived in Singapore. I'll never forget a hike we all took into the jungle and we came across a snake that was quite brightly colored. Nicolas was on Marks shoulders and we all agreed to turn back rather than try to cross paths with this unknown snake. We later realized it was one of the most deadly snakes! I also use Mark's cajun chicken recipe all the time. I'm so sorry for this loss to his friends and family.

As a freshman in a class full of seniors my first semester of high school, I was lost and intimidated. That feeling was only exacerbated by the fact that I was the only girl in a class full of guys. Knowing that I wasn't taking too well to High School, Mr. Devine was kind enough to allow me to coast through his Robotics class all semester long. Even though I sat in the back, he would make it a point to come all the way to the back to use my Robotics kit as a demonstration for the rest of the...

I will never forget the day that Mark drove several hours to Malaysia to pick up my daughter and me, and then drove us back to Singapore. The request to pick us up had been spontaneous on my part, because I was sick and my daughter had gotten really sick in Bali. I was worried that we might not be able to manage the bus ride back to Singapore. He had worked that day and had to work the next day. He arrived to pick us up with a smile and loving concern, never mentioned a word about any...

So sorry for your loss. May God comfort your family.
