Not sure what to say?

As the youngest of the Paul and Erna Eells grandchildren, I missed out on the majority of extended family gatherings that included Uncle Dick. However, there still were many that have special places in my heart. Squirreled away in my box of childhood memories is the Purple Heart placard he made for me upon my bone marrow donation for my brother. There are other creative and thoughtful works hanging on our walls, proving that a bit of him is with us always. What an amazing life and family...

Uncle Dick was always one of the most highly anticipated guests at the farm.It was a treat to follow him and his camera around and watch him turn plain and ordinary into cool art. What a joy it was to brag that he was my uncle. Peace Uncle Dick.

p.s. The pancakes are worth the price of admission to anywhere!!

Uncle Dick was a magical man with a twinkle in his eyes that flashed when he shared his love of art with me. I'll never forget him encouraging me to find a tiny pencil and paper and draw "in my pocket." "Never stop drawing," he told me. :'^) an inspiring man. I will remember him with much fondness! Patricia Eels Crissman was my grandmother. <3

So many wonderful tributes to your artist dad. Thinking of you and your family Tom and Gail. Sincerely, Maggie Koller

I am so glad we were able to attend and to reconnect with Aunt Grace and so many of my amazing cousins. With Uncle Dick we have lost a whole generation of the Eells family, which included my mother and Uncle John. I know their greatness flows through us and continues in generations of the smart, kind, creative people I am so proud to call family. With much love for you all,

I'm sorry for your loss. I never knew Mr Eells, but he was my 7th cousin three times removed. He and I are descendants from a John Pettibone form Connecticut.

Sincerley,

Commendation from Tom Ament for being a winner in the Exposure '95 art show.

He was the greatest man who ever touched my life and I miss him dearly.
