Not sure what to say?

My first experience with Rep. Findley was as a student@ QHS II ( Quincy,Ill.) in the early 1980's. Rep. Findley was the epitome of : a Scholar with foresight, an Enlightened Statesman, a True Patriot & a fine Gentleman @All Times. Rep Findley was always insightful , kind & extremely considerate to All People ! I'm sure he inspired many people with his many good deeds & exemplary Life ! Rep. Findley will certainly be missed by Everyone who knew him !

I was one of the two USAF Attaches from AmEmbassy Jedda who flew Congressman Findley and Mrs Findley to Aden in 1978 (?) on his mission to release an American citizen held by the PDRY Government. WE had the pleasure of getting to know both the Congressman and Mrs Findley during the many hours we spent in South Yemen, including a visit to the Hadramaut and its famously decorated "high rise" mud buildings. A PDRY Air Force helicopter crew flew us to the Hadramaut in a Soviet helo and upon...

He served us well. Rest now and thank you for your service to all.

I only briefly knew Paul through my parents, Raymond and Pauline Bates of Mt. Morris, Illinois. However, Paul's mother, Florence Findley was my "babysitter" as a young child growing up in Mt. Morris. She is also fondly remembered.

Paul Findely was one of the finest men I have ever known. Not just as a Congressman, but as a person. When I tried to re-claim his Congressional seat in 1994, he personally typed a long memo of advice that was very valuable. I was flattered that he had contacted me, because he had known me since I was a high school student and GOP activist. In fact, he took me onto the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives when I was 15 and on my first trip to Washington. I knew then I wanted to be...

So honored to have known Paul and had the pleasure of planning many trips for he and his family over the years. He certainly wanted his family to have the experience of travel and being together. I'll never forget meeting him as a Girl Scout here in Jacksonville when I was a child. I felt so proud and honored for him to come speak to us at Camp Shagbark on Lake Jacksonville. Such a great man.
