Hi Pat. I have fond memories of you from Bowles Hall when I was with Howard. I´ve been in touch with Paul for decades. He was a good friend. After enjoying a Tahoe get away with a good friend, Paul felt sick for a couple of days and was found dead in his home. I believe a heart problem contributed to his death. Very sad. Wishing you well.

I was a friend of Paul’s from our days at Berkeley in the ‘70’s. I last saw him in 2019 when I visited him in Sacramento. I know he had married a Mexican woman and was traveling to and from Mexico where she lived.—-I texted him Happy Holidays last 12/25 and heard back from him on the 27th. I worked with Paul when he worked for the State of California, he was an interesting person with many interest. I would see him later when he worked for Amtrak also congenial and interested in what was going on around Him. He loved the Sacramento Library and Sacramento . He will be missed. Rest in Peace.
