Not sure what to say?

The Detroit ITM semi-pro teams in the early 1970's had three (3) ex-major league players including Paul, Ray Herbert and Billy Hoeft. The 1972 team also had future MLB umpire Rocky Roe on the team and future MLB player, Ernie Whitt on the team (for a short time before he signed). Paul, Ray and Billy, despite having played MLB, were great teammates, treated us all like equals and shared some great stories. Paul, in particular, had a great sense of humor

In 1971 a 40 year old Paul Foytack was on a semi-pro team called Detroit ITM. That team was owned by Ralph Wilson, owner of the Buffalo Bills in the NFL. That year the US team was "barnstorming" through the US getting ready for the Pan AM games. When they came to Detroit they played Detroit ITM. Paul was the starting pitcher for ITM. He came to the game just after throwing batting practice at Tiger Stadium for the Tigers. Paul pitched 5 scoreless innings against the Pan Am team that...

I remember Paul as a young Tigers fan.

I saw Paul Foytack pitch for the Syracuse Chiefs in 1964 when I was 11 years old. The Chiefs had a great season, finishing in 2nd. place and going to the Governor's Cup finals. and Paul won 10 games .I was very sorry to read he had passed and please accept my deepest sympathies. I am enclosing a clipping from a game Paul pitched on Wednesday July,29,1964 at MacArthur Stadium.

Having grown up in Michigan a life long Tiger fan (also living in Tn. now). I would like to give my condolences to the family at this time. In living to be 90 years old Paul surely lived a blessed and full life. May you find comfort and strength in the days ahead as you reflect on your great memories of Paul.

After Paul retired from baseball he was a rep for F.B.Wright.
I bought some of the items from him. We developed a friendship.
He invited me to go with him to the pre-baseball season event at Mexican Industries for a few years. It was such a treat for me.
I loved all his stories. He was a super person. It was my honor to know him.
All the best to all his family. RIP Paul.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Paul, was a great guy, very kind to this 18 year old from California. He could have been a stand-up comedian. Great stories I still tell about his hilarious antics, especially one regarding Mickey Mantle. Thanks for the memories Paul .Jim Small

What a joy to have known Uncle Paul. A man of great humor, charisma and positive attitude. Over the years I came across many people that knew of Paul from his ball playing days and had numerous conversations with them. Before he was my father in law, my wife's dad was very familiar with Paul's playing days and we talked of it many times. He assumed I was all right since I was related to Paul! From the time I was very young to very recently, baseball stories could be recounted. Watching...
