I am probably among the few members of the DAV who knew Paul well, from the time of his election as National Commander in 1957 in Buffalo. I attended that Convention as I was already employed at DAV National Headquarters as its General Counsel. I am now in my 63rd year of close association with DAV. I know, in detail the valuable service Paul rendered us during that tremulous time I worked along side him as we scraped together enough funds our new National Service Officers a "living Wage",...
