Read MoreMy condolences to the family. I am deeply saddened however, it was truly a pleasure taking care of Mr. Gerke at Bridgeway. He was one of the the funniest and sweetest old men I know. I will remember the moments of laughter and dancing with him in the middle of the night. My adoptive Bridgeway Pointe grandpa will be truly missed. Blessings and comfort to you all.

Paul was one of the sweetest, funniest people I have ever cared for. I always called him “Grandpa.” He always had a smile on his face, & a hug to give. I have so many funny memories with him that I will cherish for a lifetime. All of us here at Bridgeway Pointe will miss him very much!

Gerk, we played in the same backfield for Father Valens at
St. Bonnies. In CYO baseball we won the trophy at Crosley Field for St. Bonnies. We continued our Franciscan education at Roger Bacon. And tomorrow we’ll pray for your immortal soul at the First Friday Mass at Roger Bacon.
