Not sure what to say?

Paul and I served together in the Navy on the USS Arcadia, A.D. 329. We immediately became good friends working in the torpedo shop together. We hung out together on all of our sure leaves, and he became sort of a big brother to me, he used to call me my little Torpedoman striker. I just happened to look him up on Google today and learned that he had passed away.

Remembering a dear friend. A very sweet kind man. Such a blessing to be able to call you friend. You are truly missed.

I met Mr Paul Gilday several years ago, him and we became very good friends. What a eccentric, loving, caring person. I came to know. I'm surely going to miss him.
He was a blessing in my life. A unique human being!

Paul you have been my friend for almost 40 years. I will miss our letters in the mail or our long phone calls. Your insight was a great asset. I will always have the memories of watching movies and picking out things they got wrong with you and Paulie.
Thank you for your friendship.

Dear Paul:
Your passing brings back many fond memories of childhood on Castle St. where you were the big brother of John, Chris and Beth, who were playmates to my siblings and me. Thanks for the memories, and I wish you an eternity of scuba diving in perfect seas.

When I was working in radio repair at 130 I cleaned VCR's at home for a little extra cash. I worked on one of Paul's and delivered it to his house. He asked me to come in through the back door. When I entered I had to duck under the kayak that he had on his kitchen table that he was working on. I said to myself "This guy's alright!". I've thought of him often. He will be missed. Good to know you, Paul.

peace to a quiet man who walked the downtown beat for many years with spd sorry to hear of your passing, may you always rest in peace,my friend

I was envious of you before we met; you were the "day" guy who beat me to every used vintage scuba book at Johnson's book store. Over the next 30 years, you became a mentor and friend who shared so much more than could be found in any book. I miss you my friend; hopefully that old "reg" is breathing great up there.

You will be missed Paul. Barb and I enjoyed talking about vintage scuba gear and playing with the chickens and dog. Rest in peace until we meet again.
