Paul Gill

Paul Gill represented SVC at a college fair during my senior year of high school in Flint Michigan in 1970. I was a first generation student, hoping to pay my own way through school. He encouraged me to come to Saginaw Valley and said, "we´ll get you through". He was true to his word and the trajectory of my life was changed at that moment. I will always be grateful for his support and now offer my condolences to his family. He was such an important person to me.

Once in a while there is someone from my past (SVSU) that pings a large twinge of gratefulness and respect. Paul Gill was that someone special as I sadly read that he had passed. I thank him posthumously for his support and belief in a stubborn (German and a Scorpio) little hippie girl that wanted nothing more than to take all art classes and say that she put herself through college. His firm and loving guidance helped me get a Fine Arts degree with a 3.7 no less! His life sounded like he...

Paul was a great inspiration to me and was a great help while attending SVSU. I wish I could have seen him after graduating and thanked him for all his help.

Paul was quite the guy! I enjoyed working with him at Saginaw Valley, and visiting with him when we lived in Naples. He always had good stories to tell- lots of laughter and good will with him! He will be missed.
