Paul GOODING

Mr Gooding was my music teacher at New Miami during my freshman year (1971). I used to draw caricatures of him sitting at his piano making us sing Me-May-Mow-Mo-Moo as vocal warmups. He was a friend and mentor to me, allowing me to play the piano in the music room during my study hall period. The heavens have gained a wonderful man. Mr. Gooding was more than my Chorus teacher, he was a friend who was always willing to listen and offer genuine heartfelt advice. I will always remember his kindness and his sharing of his time to his students, even welcoming us to his home where his wonderful wife would feed us and spend time with us. Her Mississippi mud was famous with us.

Mr.Gooding was a wonderful man. He was my music teacher,atNew. Miami school,many years ago. I was young and wish I would have listened to his gift in the art of music. My prayers are with his family at this sad time.

My deepest condolences to Mr. Gooding's family. He was my Latin teacher at the old Trenton High School in the 1960s. He was always one of my favorite teachers -- so kind, intelligent, patient and understanding. I will never forget the impact that he had on my life.
