Paul H. Hafner Sr. died peacefully at home on Friday night with family at his side, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease.

He was a native of North Syracuse and moved to Baldwinsville in 1948, where he and his brother Fred farmed together for many years. In later years, he...

Not sure what to say?

Paul and my dad went to school together. When my wife Mary and I joined the church, it was Paul and Louise that took us "under their wings" encouraging us throughout our lives! They also introduced Mary and I to two of the best friends we've ever had. Their son Paul Jr and his wife Sally. It's always been wonderful to call them brothers and sisters throughout our lives! Rest in Peace Paul. Asleep! Waiting for our Savior's Jesus return! The next voice you hear will be HIS!

Paul and Louise are the ones who Jesus used to teach Mary Ann and I the truth about our Lord Jesus! I still remember the rides to Camp Meeting with them. Paul had known my dad from their days in school and the love they both shared for farming. My entire family was always welcome in their home. I can't count all of the wonderful hours we spent there socializing, laughing, crying (sometimes), eating (often), studying & praying (a lot) and just plain learning to care for one another. I always...

Much love to the memory of Pop -

To all the Hafner Family,
Sorry for the temporary loss of Paul. I believe it won't be too long now until we all meet him again at the last trump! I'm glad we have that blessed assurance. Jesus is coming soon.

Paul was always an encouragement to me when I lived in the Syracuse area.

To Hafner Family,
You have been a part of my life for as long a I can remember. The sweet strawberries that I picked most of my life to the tomatoes and peppers that were a staple in our home every August. Mr Hafner Sr. made all of our summers a little tastier. Someone who cared so deeply for God's earth surely will be tending to God's gardens in heaven. My prayers are with the family at this time.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you during this
sad and difficult time.
Sincerely,
Betsy Mills

To the Hafner family...

Mary Ann, the Kids and I are deeply saddened by your loss and ours.

You have ALL been kind, good, true, patient and loving friends thru the years and we think of you all as our brothers and sisters.

We have all lost part of ourselves and will need to press together even closer now in this time of sorrow.

BUT.....

When we're all together again in our Father's house. We will ALL see Paul again as Jesus himself places Paul's crown on his...

Very saddened by your family's loss so soon after Rebecca's passing. He was a sweet man and in time those memories you all have of him will sustain you. God Bless you all at this time of sorrow and grief. With Sympathy, Rebecca's friends, Lynn and Jim Porter

In Memory of Paul Hafner Sr.

It is so sad to lose a dad,
It leaves a family in such sorrow clad,
With what memories were life's seasons filled,
How sad when one so loved is stilled!
Dad, how deeply we will miss,
Your voice, your smile, your treasured bliss,
To be out working on your country land
With your dozer doing projects grand.
Kitchen table times with friends and family spent,
With wisdom and humor you often lent.
So much we forfeit in the passing...
