To the Hayes family, I pray the GOD of all comfort bless and keep you all during this difficult time. The memories of Mr. Hayes are like the corners of my mind. Such a gentleman and caring individual that GOD placed on this earth for all who were privileged to know him. What a blessing to so many in the Vauxhall and E. Orange communities. I will never for get you Mr. Hayes. Rest in Peace and God bless your soul.

The year was 1963 and my life was changed forever when I met our new playground director at Hamilton Playground Mr. Paul Hayes. He was more then my playground director, he was my friend and in many ways my mentor. He was an inspiration to me and probably the main reason I became an educator. He taught me many things including persistence, hard work, working as a team, and seeing the best in every person. Although it has been several years since we last spoke, I will miss him and always...
