Paul Hecker

So sad to hear of Mr.Hecker passing. I have such wonderful memories of him and his family and our family at their cottage. Laura and Jeff you had a great dad.. so sorry.

Mr Hecker was my Football coach and Audio Visual teacher The best coach I ever had. Rest on high Gene.

Worked with Mr. Hecker on several projects during my years with GRPS. Always a smile, even when we didn't agree. Prayers for the family and friends missing this wonderful man

I had Mr. Hecker in the 7th or 8th Grade at Central High School. Mr. Hecker controlled the atmosphere in class, that's for sure, and he was as they say, "he was larger than life". Actually, he knew of my sister, Bonnie Brown, in high school who was a cheer leader and home coming queen. He was a big man and serious, but had a sense of humor as well. To the Hecker Family, Mr. Hecker was the best Principal ever! I was one of his students at Creston High. He knew every student either by face and/or name at Creston. In between classes, we would see him sitting on the planter right in front of the front door in the main hallway. He knew if you were a student at Creston High or not and he would stop them at the door from entering the building. My prayers are going up for you and your family. He was one of my favorite teachers and coaches I had at Central High. He was instrumental in getting me hired by GRPS.
