Dad, I recently found an awesome Jim Croce song that I haven't heard in years. I think it was one of your favorites that I never really liked. Since buying it, I've probably listened to it 30 times. You really did have great taste in music -- thanks for passing it along. One of my favorite memories with you happened not so long ago. I was driving over to your house and I heard Croce's "Operator" on the radio. I've heard that song hundreds of times, and I even had every word memorized... but...

Paul, as you know, you are so missed by all of your girls. I include myself in that list of females, including Sadie too. We are doing the best we can, and I know you would be proud of the spirit and love that surrounds each of your girls. Good job, Paul.

Sweetheart, we made it through our first holiday without you. There were some rough times and there were good times. There was an empty place at the table on Christmas Eve and I hope you were there with us in spirit. There is a quote from "It's a Wonderful Life": "Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around, he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he"? There is a huge hole in our life without you but are trying to fill it with family and lots of love....
