Not sure what to say?

Coach Hendrickson was a great man, he was my cross country coach and track coach for my four years of high school. He was a very compassionate coach always caring for his athletes, he was like a father to many of us. I will always remember his smile and his encouragement in our competitions. He was always proud of us in victory and defeat. He was also my science teacher, we spent many lunch times in his room. Rest in peace coach Hendrickson May the Lord keep you in his glory .

Mr. Hendrickson was my biology teacher at IHS in 1977. He and two other teachers had a large impact on my life; he was strict but very fair and actually cared that his students learned the material. He was always available and just a caring man. We need more teachers like him. He will be missed.

I ran varsity track for three years at Indio High ('71-'73), and Mr. Hendrickson was my coach. I also had him as my biology teacher. He was an excellent coach, teacher and more importantly, human being. I'm fortunate to have had him in my life. RIP

So sorry to hear about Mr. Hendrickson's passing. I was in his freshman & sophomore high school class in Kenesaw, NE (1961-63. My father, George Baisinger, was the superintendent. Mr. Hendrickson was tough, but very fair and was always willing to help a student through difficult times. He will be missed.

Thank you coach.

I was his student and on his varsity track team for all 4 of my high school years. The things that he taught me were extremely valuable. He allowed me to stay on his track team my sophomore year after I displayed a fit of rage. I'll never forget how he handled that situation. He told me, "Normally I wouldn't do this, but you show promise"; he put my needs before himself, what an amazing thing for him to do. you will always be my coach, thank you.

Coach Hendrickson, God bless you and your family. You gave me a love for rocks and science that I have always kept and nourished in my life. You gave me a deep sense for the rocks I have subsequently climbed, and the analytics to climb them.

As the athletic secretary at Indio High what I remember most about Coach Hendrickson is that he was such an advocate of his students and athletes. They could depend on him for guidance and inspiration in both the classroom and on the field. His dedication and love for Linda & the boys was evident in most conversations with him. He was one of the good guys. Rest in Peace coach.

Everybody liked coach! He had a unique way of motivating students and athletes, he led by example. I would have loved to have a beer with him at the nineteenth hole.

A great person, man, coach and mentor! He was part of my high school memories, that I will cherish always. His heart was as big as the individual. God bless him and all that came in contact with him!
