Not sure what to say?

Recently saw in the Geneva magazine that Dr. Holland passed. It is hard to summarize the impact of his life on me. He pulled the rug out from under my rigid faith & led me to a workable faith in a loving God who guides me & sustains me. I was able to move forward & share this grace with others. I can't tell you how often I have quoted him, how often I have stood on the firm foundation of God's love imparted to me through him. I wish I had known that he passed away this past September. In the mid-seventies, when I was in my twenties, he saved my life. I was in a deep depression that neither I, nor anyone I knew, could understand. My pastor arranged our meeting,in his office at Geneva, and in the weeks and months that followed we worked through that most awful time of my life.

He was such a wonderful, kind man.

Paul was such a great man. I enjoyed the Sunday afternoons we spent watching football. My fondest memory was when he would come over and babysit Lyn on Sunday afternoons. He would sit on the couch with his legs crossed and put Lyn right in the middle and watch football until we got back. Lyn was so content.

Paul was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. I was lucky to share part of my life with him.

Paul was a classmate at /Geneva College, and my friend during the many years since. I'll miss him.
