Not sure what to say?

Paul was a piece of joy in my life. He arranged for the construction and import of my Selmer gypsy jazz Dupont guitar in 1994, subsequently built my five string banjo. He was so comfortable to deal with and even though I never met him in person, Bill Evans told me we would be soulmates. I am only learning he is gone three years after, I am sad at the discovery of his passing. I know he will be saving a chair for me in the Angel Band.

Paul, Veloma !

I remember meeting Paul when he was in Seattle with Henry Kaiser and bringing renowned Malagasy musicians ROSSY and RAKOTOFRAH. I remember him as a very nice guy! Just discovered his death today Mar. 24, 2020. Light and Condolences to his family.

I learned about Paul's death today just by chance when I tried to find out something about Kaethe and Marandi who I met 29 or 30 years ago when I stayed at Irene's and Paul's house in Santa Cruz with my then 13 year old son Hanno. I had got to know Irene in Munich 50 Years ago (she was a friend of Lee Shipper's)
While in Santa Cruz Paul had invited friends one night and they made some fantastic music together. It makes me very sad to know that he died so young and I will always remember...

Despite the electronic age we live in I just became aware of Paul's passing. I am sad beyond words. Especially since he reminded me that we needed to talk. I met Paul at D-Bar-A (Boy Scout Camp in Michigan) 60 years ago. Since then he has been a constant in my life. He never forgot me and would constantly remind me to stay touch. I will miss him greatly. This is a hard lesson to learn so don't put off getting in touch with those you love. Rest In Peace my dear dear friend. My symphony to his...

I tried yesterday to describe my brother Paul to someone who had never met him and ended up reading them this obituary. It's very nice.

Dear Friend Paul,

Don't imagine you'll ever read this. That should make it easier to write, but it doesn't. We loved you immediately. You must also have been touched, for you made getting to know you such a sweet and gentle learning curve. Then how quickly you moved on, leaving us all with a just bearable portion of your pain. Hopefully, the time you fought for and lost will be added to the accounts of all of us who knew and loved you, and will sustain and nourish our thoughts...

I played violin with his daughters growing up. He restored a violin and practically gave it to me because he saw potential. That act of kindness and selflessness meant so much and has been such a motivator an inspiration I have carried through my life. RIP dear friend you have inspired a generation!

I have no words. I am so very sad and with tears. My heart is with you Robin. Always.
