He was born March 18, 1938, in Ada, to Paul and Donna Hurlburt, Sr., who preceded him in death. On October 26, 1957, he married Joan Marie Burden who survives.

Paul and Joan moved next door to my family on East Market St. when I was about 10 years old. Paul played pitch and catch with me, tossed the football, and we shot baskets down at Longfellow school. I would run into him over the years, and he always remembered me. He was a good guy. I'm so sorry for the family's loss.
