Paul Isaak

Amy & family - Doc was our family doctor for three generations, from
1960 until his retirement. I will always appreciate his caring heart & concern, the way he would "go the extra mile" without complaint, his good advice, good humor, frankness & all-around good doctoring. My heart goes out to you all during this time of loss. You are in my
thoughts & prayers.

Although Doctor Isaak and I only spent seven days together in August of 1966. these seven days provided far more than enough time for me to know that he was a special man among men the likes of which I would never meet again. With his passage, all of us who knew him lost a part of ourselves. But that is as it should be inasmuch as we were part of him. Had we preceded him, we would have taken part of him with us because he was, is and will always be part of us.

Our condolences to your family. Dr. Isaak came to Seldovia on a regular basis, switching off with Dr. Gaede in the early 60's , as we had no physician here at that time. Their kindness was so much appreciated by the community. He was my OB doctor for youngest son - now 43 whom I traveled to Soldotna to birth. He was a great Dr. and a great man. Our prayers are with you.

I'll never forget the day my first daughter was born in 1966 at the little clinic in Soldotna. Dr. Isaak stayed with me through many hours of a difficult labor and delivery. He then gently picked me up from the delivery table and carried me to my bed. I moved to Seward a couple of years later and ended up having life-threatening problems with my second child. Dr. Isaak flew from Soldotna to Seward in the middle of the night during a rainstorm to perform life-saving surgery without which...

We did not know Paul Isaak but had the privilege of knowing one of his grandchildren. If he is anything like his granddaughter Shiela, then he must have truly been a wonderful man and one who walked closely with the Lord.
