Not sure what to say?

Dear Pam,
Catherine Kirkwood told me the sad news of Paul's death. I am very saddened as are we all. I can only hope that you have some solace in a long life you had with him and from your children. Catherine and I would both like to be able to contact you, we are both on facebook, and my email is [email protected]. I imagine that you know that Catherine lives in Santa Fe, NM. I have been in Portland, OR for almost three years now, having moved out here 6 months after the last...

Dear Pam, Katie, and Andrew: Thank you for contacting me about Paul's passing. Please accept the heartfelt condolences and sympathy from me, Jingtai, Jade and Elize. Your family is so special to me and I will always appreciate your kindness and friendship. I shall always remember fondly the chinatown trips with Paul to get the ingredients for his luncheon for LRS and brunch for the Blanks and his appreciation for my simple culinary talent. Over the span of the past 20 years, our paths had...

Pam - My heart aches to say goodbye to such a dear friend, an uncle, a father-figure. I cannot imagine another lobster, or fireworks on the beach without a small prayer for Paul. I send my love to you and will always remember our Maine summers together.
Katie and Andrew - I, too have just lost my father. I know your pain and wish I could say that it gets easier. Hold on tightly to your memories and I will keep you both in my prayers.
All of my love,
Sarah McLean

Dear Pam,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I didn't know Paul well, but from what you wrote, I wish I could turn back time and change that. He was clearly an extraordinary person. I do know his family meant everything to him.
Fondly, Fran Ginsburg

Dear Pam, Matthew, Katie & Andrew,

I hope you find comfort in these words from the many friends of a man who we all knew was extraordinary even as a little boy. I never had a better friend than Paul.

Dear Pam, Katie and Andrew,

My deepest sympathy goes out to you. I have such fond memories of Paul, I was one of the lucky ones who enjoyed the fabulous feasts he provided at LRS. In our teacher conferences he shared wonderful, often funny, stories of his family -- his huge love for you all was always apparent.

Dear Pam,
I was so sorry to learn of Paul's
passing from Jane. I've heard-and read- of what a wonderful person he was, as well as a terrific father.

My best wishes to you and your family at this very sad time.
Fondly,

Dear Pam,
Susan and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our deepest condolences to you and your family. May fond memories bring you solace.
