Howe-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Dearborn Obituary

Joe Elliott passed away on February 11, 2024 at the age of 75.

Paul Joseph Elliott was born on May 31, 1948 in Spangler, Pennsylvania to parents Betty (Hedgepath) and Patrick Joseph Elliott. He had a great relationship with his step father Tom and was a caring brother to 10 siblings, Patricia, Wayne, John, Butch, Linda, Rea, Tom, Denise, Lori and Randy.   Joe, as he was known by his friends, married his wife Ann (Willingham) on October 14, 1976.  For 48 years Ann and Joe made their home in Dearborn, Michigan.   Joe was a loving husband, and a wonderful father to 3 children.  Patrick (Dusty), Kelly, (John) and Jo (Wayne).  He was the proud grandfather of twelve: Megan, Destiny, Joe, Lauren, Nathan, Nicholas, Cody, Brooklyn, Tyler, Heidi, Joey, and Wayne and a great grandfather to Adam and Ezekiel.  Joe was an uncle and great uncle to many and enjoyed hearing about their sports.

Joe was a Veteran and served 4 years in the US Army.  He retired from Ford Motor Company where he was a Hi-Lo driver at the Rosenville Plant. Joe was an entrepreneur and owned and managed Spinners Car Wash for over 20 years and was co-owner of Jedtco Corporation for 35 years.

Joe was happiest when he was surrounded by family but also enjoyed giving time to several organizations.  He was a Mason and volunteered his time to events benefiting children and others in need for 30 plus years.  He participated in multiple Rotary events where his wife, Ann, was a member.  They opened their home to Rotary members from around the world and was known for the great parties at their house. Joe was a volunteer to the Wayne County Sheriffs Association for special events and served in that capacity for 10 years.

Joe had a passion for cars and was proud of his Model T and 57 Chevy and could be seen cruising around the town.  He was an avid card player and enjoyed his weekly Euchre games and made many lasting friends.  Joe loved bowling and was on a league for many years.

Joe was a good friend to many but had an especially good relationship with his brother-in-law Mike Siwik (Nancy).  They made many trips to Las Vegas, attended Mason events, football games, played cards and bowled together for over 45 years.

Joe will be missed by many but none more than his loving family and there will forever be a hole in our hearts.

Not sure what to say?

What a great man. I mind is full of good memories. I wish there was more men like Joe Elliot.

God bless you brother from Architect University, 569

Joe was the kindest, sweetest man I have ever known. Even though I live in Indiana we kept it touch. I will miss him so much.
