Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I didn't know Mr. Johnston personally, but his contributions to baseball in Eau Claire, WI will not be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My brother and I were groundskeepers for the New River Rebels in Narrows, Va. ( 1946-1951 ) Jack Crosswhite was the manager and he brought many Roanoke area baseballers to our small town. To name a few...Harry Crosswhite, Harry Bushkar, Richard Callison, Bernard Graybill, Bob Hall, and your husband,Dad and grandfather...Paul Johnston. We could relate to these much easier than with the athletes who came from "faraway places" such as Chicago and Brooklyn. They sorta' took us under their wing...

Linda and Chuck, I am so sorry for your loss. You both are in my thoughts and prayers.
