Paul Junior Jones of Galena, Missouri, passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 83.
Paul was born on May 24, 1942, in Black Earth, Wisconsin, to Paul and Estelle Jones. He graduated from Gays Mills High School in 1960 and later attended Midwest Bible College in St. Louis, Missouri, where he met the love of his life, Karen. The two were married on June 24, 1962, and shared a devoted and faith-filled life together for more than 63 years.
Paul and Karen made their home in several states throughout their marriage—19 years in Iowa, six years in Oklahoma, 19 years in Texas, and the past 18 years in Missouri—building lifelong friendships and memories along the way.
In 1969, Paul founded his own framing contracting business, Paul J. Jones Construction, which he successfully operated until his retirement in 2004. Outside of his work, Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and waterskiing. Above all, his greatest passion was sharing the gospel through his award-winning country gospel music.
Paul accepted Christ at the age of 10 while attending Rhinelander Bible Camp, a moment that shaped the course of his entire life. He remained dedicated to serving Christ and was ordained as a minister in 1984, later serving as pastor of Oakwood Baptist Church.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Karen of Galena, Missouri; his children, son Paul (Susan) of The Colony, Texas; daughter Tricia of Galena, Missouri; and son Kenny of Shawnee, Oklahoma; his brothers Tim (Diane) of Waterloo, Wisconsin, and Jim of Gays Mills, Wisconsin; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Estelle Jones; and his brothers, Raymond and Dan.
Paul will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love for family, his generosity, and the joy he brought to others through his music and ministry. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched.
