Not sure what to say?

I just found out about Paul's passing. I had reconnected with him last January and we planned to meet again in March, but the pandemic shut everything down. He was a wonderful teacher. a very nice, warm and giving person. We had stayed in contact with one another after I graduated Saint Johns, and we saw one another, one time just before my mother passed. She loved him as representing all the best Saint John’s had to offer. I was looking forward to seeing him again after the vaccines take...

I had the pleasure of taking two years of French with the kind and generous Mr. Paul Jourcin. Truly, he devoted his entire life to his students, and I am blessed to have been one of them. Rest In Peace, Mr Jourcin. You will be forever loved and fondly remember

Paul Jourcin has unknowingly been a part of our lives since he had our sons, Jonathan and Matthew at St John’s . At the dinner table be was probably the most quoted teacher who the boys quoted ( StJohns 1988)
Fast forward to 2010 at his arrival at Venerini Academy , where he touched the lives of five of our grandchild . Each lived to quote “ MrJourcin” !
During the next few years Tom and I came to know and understand why students , staff, parents, and parent were drawn to him....

It was my privilege to work with Paul at Venerini Academy. He epitomized all that is honorable and kind in the teaching profession. He touched the hearts of all students, faculty and families with his sincere dedication and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Paul.

Mr. Jourcin embodied everything that was great about SJ and his obituary captures that so well — legendary dedication to his students, prestigious work ethic, stickler for details and doing this right. I could give countless examples of these, and I had him as a teacher over 20 years ago. His classes were less of a lesson and more of an experience and I still remember him grading 30 essays and returning them the next day — every time! He had the rare ability to make you want to be better by...

What a wonderful man! Mr. Jourcin was our son, Ian Hancock's French teacher at St. John's, and he introduced Ian to French culture, food and historic sites. He was a wonderful teacher, kind person and the world is a sadder place without him. May he rest in peace.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.
